Friday night was a fun one at Momo’s. We walked in to see that Dustin Welch has made a recent and dramatic change to his look–a bit of a buzz cut instead of the mop we’re all so fond of. He played a very nice acoustic set. I really enjoyed hearing his songs without the full band for a change.
Then it was downstairs to the Katz’s bar, Meow, for a delicious french dip for me, and some salad and veggies for Miss Dedra. A very nice girl by the name of Cashmere informed the patrons, table-by-table, that she would be happy to bring them complimentary rum drinks of a certain brand. Dedra and I happily accepted.
Finally, back to Momo’s to catch Drew Smith’s Lonely Choir for another great set of music, including his new single, Bank Ain’t Got The Loan, which will be released soon along with a video I’ve been working on with Smith, for the song. I’ll post that up as soon as we have the go ahead from the Smith camp.
Congratulations go out to Drew’s musical partner, Matt Russell and his wife, Candice on their recent nuptials!
Be sure to catch Drew Smith and many other favorites at the Momo’s Anniversary shows later in August.
